URICKEA’ is a spacious two storey, detached family holiday home. Refurbished to a very high standard and very well equipped with all modern facilities; very comfortable to live in. Well located in the lower part of town, situated off the famous, Napoleon Street, is ideal & very convenient for shopping, The Bank, Internet provider cafe, Travel & Tourist offices, Police, The seafront coffee house serving fresh St.Helenian coffee, bars, cafes & restaurants, with only a short walking distance from the sea front.

The property features:

Off road parking for vehicles.

The property has ground and first floor verandas.

An enclosed patio area

All bed linen provided

Non smoking, no pets, no children under 15


LOUNGE: comfortably furnished with a sofa, armchairs, footstool, TV, DVD, Radio/CD player. There is a selection of reading material and board games; front door leads to the veranda. Information folder for visitors available.

DINING ROOM: furnished with a large dining table & chairs seating 6 adults comfortably. Dresser/storage cupboard space and an easy chair to relax after dinner or at anytime; telephone point.

KITCHEN: well equipped, including electric double oven cooker, refridgerator, freezer, microwave, electric kettle and toaster. The rear door leads to the patio.

PATIO: enclosed area with outdoor table & chairs for your use.

STAIRS TO LANDING: gives access to all bedrooms, bathroom & upstairs veranda.


BEDROOM 1: master bedroom – is a spacious, lovely & very comfortable bedroom, furnished with a pine double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, dresser & two easy chairs, where you can sit & have some quiet time, relax with a coffee or simply catch up on your reading. Windows overlook the side & private ‘woodlands’ to rear of the property.

BEDROOM 2: to the front of the property & facing south, furnished with 2 full size single pine beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobe & dresser, timbered flooring.

BEDROOM 3: has 2 full size single pine beds, bedside cabinets & combination wardrobe/dresser. This room is at the rear of the property & overlooks private woodlands; timbered flooring.

BATHROOM: a very spacious bathroom (12ft x 8ft) consists of a bath, toilet, seperate shower cubicle & wash hand basin. Running hot water provided by solar panel heating with a backup emersion.

VERANDA: 1st floor level – facing south towards the sea; aligning the entire frontage of the property; timbered flooring with chairs providing that little extra comfort to relax, whether you are having afternoon tea or just sipping that fabulous gin & tonic! Its exactly what you you need – perfect! There is also a ground floor level veranda leading from the lounge.


LONG TERM RENTAL: for 6 months or more; a depsoit of one months rental is required (returnable at end of tenancy pending property inspection for breakages/damages/repairs/unpaid bills). Plus one months rent paid in advance. Monthly payments thereafter. A tenancy agreement will apply. Contact the owner for more details.

MEDIUM TERM: minimium rental for 3 months & for up to 6 months; a 25% deposit of rental costs required to secure a booking, you then pay monthly rent thereafter. Plus an inventory deposit of £100, is refunded within 14 days after departure, pending property inspection for breakages/damages/repairs/unpaid bills. Reasonable wear & tear excluded. Terms & Conditions apply.

PRICE per MONTH or part month = £550.00 plus bills (Minimium rental = 3 months) contact the owner via email for further information.

(Note: for medium and long term rentals – electricity, water, telephone, Internet broadband and TV; the ‘hirer’ must set up own named account with suppliers & is responsible for bill payments. House agent will help with this set up.

SHORT TERM RENTAL: property occupied and charged per night. A deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required to secure a reservation; Balance payment to be paid 90 working days prior to arrival on St.Helena/occupancy of the property.

Accommodation tariff rates: effective from 1st April 2014 normal review & increase in tariffs are 1st September each year.

1 – 8 nights = £ 65.00 per night

9 – 18 nights = £ 55.00 per night

19-28 nights = £ 45.00 per night

over 28nights= £ 30.00 per night

For FOUR (4) or more persons (up to max of 6 people) wishing to occupy the property the rental rate will be:
£30.00 per person per night

Inventory Deposit = £100 is refunded within 14 days of departure pending property inspection for breakages/damages/repairs/unpaid bills. Reasonable wear & tear excluded. Terms & Conditions for hire apply.

Cancellation Fees:

56 days or more = 15%

55 – 46 days = 40%

45 – 26 days =55%

25 – 14 days = 74%

13 – 7 days = 90%

less than 6 days = 100%


Electricity, water, local phone calls are inclusive for short term rentals only, any additional usage above the ‘free’ allowance will be charged at the appropriate rate. Terms & conditons apply. For meduim & long term rentals, utilities are NOT included in the rental and will be extra. There is a TV digital box provided. You will have to purchase a TV card and pay a TV connection fee to the Island’s TV & telecom provider. Additional costs for services are paid directly to the provider.


Strictly smoking is not permitted on the premises, to include the grounds.

Sorry PETS are not allowed.

Sorry no children under 15 years.

Only those persons listed on the booking form may occupy the property.

Regretably property is not accessable for persons using wheelchairs


Urickea has an appointed agent who will assist you in setting up supplier accounts & deal with any queries you may have during your stay.

A fully plumbed in automatic washing machine is installed for your use.

House phone will receive incoming local & international calls, however, only outgoing LOCAL calls can be made.

Accomodation transfers on arrival/departure – can be pre-arranged – please request at time of booking. Taxi fares will be added to booking.


A deposit payment is required within 2 days of booking to secure a reservation.

Balance payments to be paid 90 working days prior to arrival. Terms & Conditions for rental apply and will be sent to you with the booking form.
